Default Bodywork question

My 95 coupe has some chipped places on the rocker panel where the original owner placed the jack on the plastic edge and cracked it. What can I use to fill the missing chips and bond the crack. He also caught a bit of the corner of the pass Floorplan where there's a metal brace riveted, it's bent up. Should I take it off, straighten it and fix the small cracks in the floor pan with fiberglass. I'm replacing the carpet and want to fix it now.

For the rocker panel (and the floor) you can use epoxy resin, it will bond to it. West system 610 is awesome stuff, I use it all the time.. and as far as the metal riveted piece goes, it would be a chore to remove. They are bonded in place, and they hold the studs for the seat mounting. Unless it really bothers you and there are no holes in floor, I'd leave it.

If you have cracks or holes in the floor pan It's easier to fix it from the top side. With the carpet out I used a grinder to roughen up and feather edge the holes. I used resin and fiberglass cloth to fill it in. And now I take just the wheels to the tire shop and leave my Corvette at home so I don't have to do it again.

The metal piece is in the front right corner of the floor where it goes up. It's holding the floor up a little from being bent up. If I take off the metal the floor should go back down, then fix the floor and straighten metal and reinstall. I've never taken that metal piece off before so before I open a can of worms, should I leave it or try removing. Is it just riveted on or is it glued too?
