1985 Auto: rare NO START issue
I have an issue going on/off about 2 years for now. It is rare but still annoying. 98% of the time the Vette starts fine hot and/or cold.
The 2% I have no start issue. no click from the starter solenoid. I think the "security" light is on and "Brake" indicator is on when I try to start. The 1985 doesn't have VATS system, it has a starter interrupt relay (new) and a theft deterrent control module (original). the horn works but I don't hear the alarm while I can't start the Vette.
the power doors works but it seems the buttons of lock/unlock don't work well. When I have NO START issue, I also try to go out of the car and lock/unlock the driver door with the key, still no start. Also moved the gear lever, No luck.
The only workaround I know to start the Vette, is to apply 12V from the positive to the purple wire that goes to the S terminal or back to C100 connector (I'm not sure). After this workaround, I can start it when key is ON.
The starter is a new AC Delco mini starter. Was installed a year ago.
1- any idea what can cause the issue? Ignition switch?
2- where the purple wire goes? (to the S or back to C100)?
Thanks.

The starter relay is new. once I had this problem "live", I took it off and bypassed it with a wire (A to D. grn/wht to purple).
I've found this video. I'll replave the ignition switch and follow up it.

Its an automatic tranny. Yes, while ago when I got a NO START issue I took off the cluster and lever covers/panels. I bypassed all but nothing. I only managed to start it by applying 12V grom the battery to the purple wire (The pic above).
