Service engine soon light
Just bought a nice 94 Lt1 corvette yesterday.(80000) miles Test drove it car ran fine. When I went to take it home I had to drive it 2 hours. At 25 minutes into the ride the service engine light turns on. From what I could tell no difference in car performance. I didn't push at all during the ride home since I did not want to cause any problems. Stopped half way for a pit stop and started the car again. Light was off. Drove about 25 minutes light went on again. No really change in car. When I got home I called the seller to ask what up with that. He said he never drove it far in the past few years just start up to make sure it was running. Suggested the O2 sensors may be bad. Where to start?

Easiest first step would be to pull the codes to see why the SES light came on. I personally doubt it is an issue with an O2 sensor since you had no drivability issues. I have a scanner to pull codes when needed, but there is a way for you to check for codes using a paperclip. I've actually never done the paperclip method, but one of your fellow owners will come along and explain it.

So I did the paperclip method code pull and go the following codes. I going to also put what I have read the codes are saying. If I am wrong please let me know
Module 1 H81 2-3 gear shift solenoid. (is this the shift skip?)
Module 4 H13 Bank 1 heated oxygen circuit #1
H63 Bank 2 RF heated oxygen sensor open loop
I ordered new sensors for both. Hope this solves the problem.
