Default Question 4 Ruby6spd

You stated in a previous thread "If this is any help I am running 17x11's on the rear. When I ordered them from Fikse I told them I didn't want them to stick out at all with 315 tires. In my case I am using Michelin Pilot SX tires that have a fat lip on them and they don't stick out at all. My car is also lowered and there are no rubbing problems. With a custom offset and someone who has done it before I believe it is possible to get the 12 under the stock body work. It may take some trial and error along with the consideration of which tire your running."
Can you supply the specs for your Fiske wheels (offset, backspacing). I want to install 11" wheels on the rear of my '96 but I don't want them to stick out.
:)

I will have to get that for ya tonight, all of my paper work is at home.

When I ordered I told them that I wanted a modified GS offsett, so it is close to that..

I will get you some pics of where they sit in comparison to the fendor also.

Thanks. I really appreciate any info you can provide. I want to go with the 315 tires but I don't want them sticking out of the fender. So the more that can be tucked inboard the better.
BTW, how do you like those FM/5s? :)

Just an FYI, if you use email notification(found at the top of the post)anybody who clicks that button will get an email containing the original reply and a link to the post.

It makes posts that you are interested very simple to find, because when a reply is made, it finds you.

BTW I have 11" wheels on the back with 315 tires, there barely stick out at all. I got mine from AFS, I forget what the measurements are though.

Thanks for the tip. I've seen AFS mentioned before. Who are they? Do they have a web site? :)

Leadfoot,

I just talked with Travis at Fikse and the offset is 56mm on the 17x11 wheel I am using, I believe that this is the same as the grandsport but for some reason they do not stick out at all. I think they must build the wheel slightly different to compensate..

I am having trouble with my digital camera but I will post the pics of how mine looks when I get if figured out. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the input. Pictures would be great. Especially shots along the fender line.
How do you like the Fikse wheel? What finish did you get? :)

I have the standard technipolish finish on mine, it has the polished unclearcoated lip and the clearcoated center. I am really satisfied with them, I wanted them for years and then finally last spring I bit the bullet. They are a great choice.

I will get those pics asap
