Hello everyone
First time on this forum and and first time Corvette.
I just bought a 1993 Corvette and just noticed two tubes under the throttle body. Im pretty sure a hose should be attached to these. Please see pictures. Can anyone tell me what they are for? Im looking at diagrams but I’m having trouble identifying.
That’s the throttle body coolant line. It is a common mod to eliminate.
Primary reason is to eliminate a potential source of coolant leak onto the Opti, the other is it is seen as a very very very slight performance mod (by not heating the air coming through the throttle body).
Nothing to worry about and only helpful in very cold weather driving (to warm things up faster by heating the air going through the throttle body).
Oh and you better tell us more about this new purchase and post pics!!!
