Default Aux cooling fan switch needed

Can someone tell me where to get an auxiliary cooling fan temperature sending switch for an 85 Corvette? I want one that comes on at 238 degrees like the stock one. No parts stores show when they turn on or off. It goes between plugs 6 & 8 on passenger side.

AC Delco D1855B or Standard Motor Products TS85. Various GM applications around the same years as the C4's, including some 89-92 Camaros (3rd Generation).

Comes on at ~215°F, goes off at ~205°F.

Try American Voltage
They have many temp sensors at various temps of on/off--their specs are "right on" for the parts purchased from them
Also, universal head adaptor from there you can install different temp sensors to fit your needs/wants--without draining the cooling system
Currently using 180 "ON" sensor on 84 C4--works great--cooling fan comes on earlier that stock--keep engine temps down
Most likely a wiring harness adaptor will be need as their sensors use male blade connectors or cut the harness wire and install female blade connector

Agree with you that it's better to have the fan come on a lot earlier than 238! I only have one fan on my 84 and it comes on at 210. I deleted my ac so no condenser and I run a separate trans cooler rather than the built in radiator cooler. I have an under dash toggle switch just in case I get stuck in traffic!

OK. I just replaced the aux fan temperature switch with a Standard Motor Parts # TS-82 on my 1985 C4 as just about every bit of information I got said the TS-82 IS the direct replacement for the original part from the factory. I called Standard Motor Parts asking what temperature this switch closes, signaling the aux cooling fan to come on because there was no information with the switch. The factory one normally closes at 238 degrees. I could barely understand this guy as he was from another country!! (figures). I could swear he said it would close at 248 degrees! That doesn't seem right. Way too high. I drove the car around for about an hour with no problem. Temperature never went over 228 degrees in traffic. 198-205 degrees with the AC on and cruising. Has anyone here replaced theirs with this TS-82? If so, what temperature do you think it closes at?

The TS-82 switch appears to cross reference to an Echlin FS111 which closes at 246 °F w/6 °F tolerance. Pretty hot, but in the vicinity of 238 °F considering the 6 °F tolerance.

FS111 Recessed 1 round female N/O C@246°F w/6°F Tol 3 ⁄8 x 18
