during the process of replacing valve cover gaskets, the tight clearance used by GM in 1992 and my bad mood intersected resulting in damage to the EGR/Air injection lines. It is highly doubtful I will repair the damage (other than stopping the leak) since headers are somewhere a few dollars down the road.
Can I use resistors or something to fool the system and keep the check engine light off?
Technically the EGR system is still there. The air induction system is what received the brunt of my unhappiness. But there is a vacuum fitting on the driver side that went to both systems. I plugged up the one going to the air injection. But now I have a check engine light and an error that refers to the EGR

clear codes and it comes back (32 EGR). Checked at plug when Check Engine light came on and found 12v on one and no ground on the other. I think this grounds through the computer. If I am wrong, can someone correct me on how the EGR solenoid grounds?
when the air injection system had its accident, I removed the valve below the throttle control motor (proper name?). Because everything else checked out individually, I put it back. Code 32 did not return when engine warmed up.
