In doing a lot of reading trying to fix my poor throttle response (87 vette auto trans), I finally got a multimeter and tested the TPS. The idle volt on it was at .44 and increased almost spastically when going toward WOT.
I ended up just replacing the TPS and when at WOT its coming in at 4.24. Shouldn’t it be closer to 5 at WOT? Or is that not a bog deal?
Im not crazy knowledgeable on how it works, but I feel the .55 idle volt to 4.24 WOT is slightly restricted range.
4.24 doesn't seem that far off. You should be able to probe the reference wire too and see what it reads by comparison. They should be close in reading.
