Default Dying your interior...

Just curious if anyone has changed their interior color by dying it. Could I dye the carpet too? What were the results?

Yes I did my seats with Dying system from SEMS corp. I don't have part numbers but a body shop supply in chicago area called Keytone supplied me with the parts to dry the seats out and brush the color on. It really is not dye but actually is the exact stuff the manufacturer used to make the seats as we all know leather does not come in colors. I later did a blue motorcycle seat and it looked like stock black and has never come off since. I can't believe how good the car and bike seats came out and they show no wear yet (2 years). If you happen to find Keytone in Chicago area, try to talk to a salesman named Jeff as these products are not supposed to be sold to the public? Why I have no Idea as they were water based to me but good luck and I will try to find the part numbers for you but they are at my old house and I don't know how soon I am going back by there, maybe tonight...

i also used the sems brand dye with good results, i had those ugly silver seats with worna nd faded grey carpet and dyed it all black, i used a spray gun to do mine, the carpet was gone over with a stiff brush between coats. so far so good
