Default LT1...LT4 heads question???

Is the rocker arm stud(same size) threading the same on LT1,LT4 going into the head? I know the LT4 is bigger when it meets the rocker...just wondering if it was the same going into the head.
One of my local dealers has a set of LT4 performance heads(Not production)...he said the only difference was they used LT1 studs on the heads
Want to see if I can change the studs to real LT4 studs.... :D

Pretty sure they are all 7/16 into the head. But LT4 uses a non-standard 10mm studs on top where I think the LT1 uses a 3/8 stud, unless you were planning on using the stock LT4 rockers, the 3/8 are more common.

The factory LT4 heads installed on the actual 96' vehicle's had 10mm (.394)threads on the top portion of the rocker stud, the LT4 heads you buy now from GM's Performance Parts division have 3/8" (.375) threads on the top portion of the stud, I do believe the lower portion that threads into the head casting is the same 7/16" thread on both model studs...
(I think they only changed the studs not the heads)

I'm only about 90% sure its been awhile...

Check this out, its on the page with the SBC stuff under "rocker studs"

The origional 10mm studs used rockers that are not adjustable. Are you sure you want to go that route?
