I have a1991 Basic C4 and am having problems keeping it running while idling. The car seems to run great at speed but when I slow to stop or low speed she dies. When cranking I have to throttle her to get her to crank. Normally I don't have to press the gas to start. Not to long ago I replaced wires, plugs, rotor, distributor, ICM, and fuel filter and she was running good. Any help would be appreciated.
Pull your IAC. I'll bet it needs a cleannig.
A scantool would make your life easier.
Check your TPS voltage and IAC counts.
Would not hurt to Ohm out all injectors.
I'll ck them. I believe you are going to be right. I am discovering that the problem is intermittent. I cranked her up this morning and
she started and run like new. I'm leaning more towards throttle body but will ck both and see what I find. I appreciate any and all feedback and advice.
If the car was running good before why did you change things?
If it was working properly before you started working on it then go back through those items first. Verify all of that stuff is good.
