Planning, purchashing, building. Is the easy part. Simply order and pay. Tear down. build. Start-up time.
Ought ohh. You learn real quick.. now what.
Unless you copied a perfected build verbatim. With a proven tune. Your money, time, parts. Many times equals. Stock was better. Due to OE tune simply put. Sometimes. Can't even start your new build. Yikes.
The best tune is studying, learning. No mail order. Even dyno tune. Even TV. Shows. Plot out a 20 min WOT tune. That is not a tune.. way more to it than shown.
What about idle, off idle, part - 3/4
DFCO. Injectors. ETC.
Only you can put in the quality & time to perfect cost effectively.
The intitial component investment. Is a slight setback.
You will need a Data cable.
*Wise to purchase a Y cable for both OBD1 and future OBD2 logging/ tuning.
Software to view visualize edit your tuning.
I wish technology was available when most of us started. De-soldering the eprom from the PROM.
And related.
Now you can emulate your UV specific eprom. With an extremely simple fast emulator. This allows you to update like a modern PCM.
Many options for software. Your choice. Sample software & cable
(1) data logging, many retired.
*** data master
Many members will provide a copy. just email. Msg.
