Default My first Vette

So, I was looking for some kinda platform that be simple to work with that would be cheap, and I wanted Ls power prolly down the line. Far as cars that have an Ls to begin with are hideously expensive. Then the whole I want a Vette kinda took hold. Those are still stupid priced as well if ya go c5 or c6. Even a clapped out c3, which is my Daughter's prefrence was pretty expensive. So lots of looking on Fb market yielded decent c4 prices, but not really the performance I would be after as a daily alternative to my Ford Edge daily.

I looked at doing a hopped up gen 1 engine, and the Zz6 had been what I was kinda after, but that ls engine was naggin the back of my mind. So started searching for a 6 liter off the get go as well. Found a lq4 block, and pustons, no crank, and started nickling and diming parts together. Things didnt quite work out when i started putting the engine together, and so I found an lq8, and bit that 950 bulllet. Sold the block for what i had in and i have extra parts covers to decorate my wall with i guess. The lq9 i put on some 243 heads, and ordered up what thought I was getting a ss3, but ended up getting the ss2 cam, which is fine better for drivesbility. Pac springs, and stock everything else back together. Oh, had found a car in Kentucky in April, it was navy blue with a greenwood spoiler, and a cowl hood. Just a roller for 1000 bucks, but 1400 to get a uhaul and that was gas too. That was a very long day, as I am northern In, and the car was 5 mins from Tennessee.

Summer been gathering parts, steal a t56 from my Trans Am turbo project.

The interier is trashed, i def need some help in figuring out wiring the dash for turns and brights. Using a Holley Term X basic for truck injectors. Found out putting in the t56 reqires cutting out that shifter pocket to clear, and Holley has a nice sheet metal piece that fits right in. Used adjustable lsx inovations motor adaptors, and cheap factory clams. I used the c4 factory clutch master, with t56 ks1 throw out, with a quick bleed from Tick. Used an ls1 oil pan, that also doubles as 07 up truck pans. Ict billet alternator reloctor for truck acc. Drilled the front of the water pump boss, and put in a freeze plug with a ton of jb weld. Modded the power steering bracket to clear the throttle body on the amazon car intake. The t56 to c beam used the brp adaptor. Ended up needing to cut down the drivehaft at least an inch. Still have the D36, as 44s are silly money right now.

Used Pacesetter 1 7/8" c6 long tubes, with the collectors cut, and rewelded. Found them as a screaming deal on marketplace.
