The last time you changed the oil did you replace the drain plug crush washer with a new one?
That would be the 'first' thing a person should check. A '93 maybe you need to check what size drain plug is there. "92 & '93 actually had a GM SPO Parts Catalog spec of both 1/2 - 20 and also the M12 x 1.75. I don't believe the gaskets are the same. If it had the 1/2 - 20 spec (and I doubt that) it used just the nylon washer. If it's the M12 x 1.75 spec it would have the washer/seal mentioned by Mr Peabody. That's a GM# 14090908 and the most likely I believe BUT there does seem to be some 1/2 - 20 also.
Well, that's the deal don't know what I have, I went into NAPA said I have a 93 need a oil pan plug, still drips?? I think the thing might need a over size plug to tighten it back up, not sure of the size??

Well it's time to learn I guess. An 'oversize' would be a poor choice just because of a drip. Take a 1/2 -20 bolt and an M12 x 1.75 bolt and one or the other should fit. NAPA nearly always supplies a receipt, what were you sold? Do you have any sort of washer/seal? Which type?
Of course there's always the option of tolerating the 'drip - drip'!
I have tried a new plug different washer stops for a little while then bam drip drip .I think I will try the different bolts the 1/2 20 and the M 12X 1.75 find out what for sure what I have looks it could be either one thanks GM don't make it difficult and go with the piggyback over size plug .The drip drip not an option for my cars , not for long anyway it's got headers, I got some oil on one smoke looked like it was on fire .. Not good..
Thanks for the input .. yep over size piggyback why not nothing else worked ..
No, I am pulling the trans first gear went away, I pulled the flywheel cover hard to tell but looks like the pan gasket might be seeping and running down on the plug not really bad for sure not dry, so while am waiting on the trans to come back (8-10 weeks ??) new oil pan gasket if that don't stop it aways fix the plug later. I guess time for a new gasket anyway .. Thanks made me look .. Going to stop looking, pulling this trans is a bitch it's got headers they had to come out, that is as much work as pulling the trans ..
