Hopefully someone else will answer, as its been awhile since I last pulled mine.
But I think, there is a bolt on the tab where the cable goes into the transmission.
I believe you take it out, and you can raise the cable housing enough to disconnect from the transmission.
You may have to remove the pan to disconnect the cable, but again, hopefully someone else pops in here to answer.

Two other pointers I wanted to mention.
1. Be careful with that cable. It is no longer available for for the 92-93.... at least as I could find. Its one assembly with the other cables, and ties to the ASR rather then the throttle body as most cars would have.
2. Be sure to intall the dipstick tube before installing the transmission. I dont think there is a way to fish that thing in there once the transmission is in place. And I tried....

TV cables are kind of a pita to deal with. Disconnect TV cable from throttle body. Then take bolt off cable where it attaches to transmission. Lift cable casing.you will also need to lift link where cable attaches. The slide cable eye of link. It's one of those things we're a 3rd hand would be handy.

Thanks for the replays, it's on the floor would have been not too big a deal if well things come out as easy as the manual says no had to take trans tale off to get the trans support out going have the trim it to put it back in, the filler tube have to leave it in place and just drop the trans it's still in there going back in I guess line it up jack in the trans hope the tube goes back in ?? ,got the coolant lines caught under the trans didn't see them yep bent, been shade treeing on these old vettes for years, I guess just another day in the life of keeping the old C-4 on the road .. If it was easy little kids would be working on them .. Thanks for the input ... One thing for sure I never would have gotten it out without my big *** TQ wrench two of the trans bolts must had 150 TQ on them my supper HD TQ wrench had to hammer on them to get them out, the rest 50 -75 lbs. no big deal same with the trans support bolts the big *** TQ wrench saved the day .. Thanks
