Default Pink dizzy wire?

Hey guys don’t have my electronic fsm in front of me but I’m trying to figure out some wiring issues. Factory ‘88 engine harness is long gone and I have a short somewhere. Trying to find a good 12v switched source that has power while cranking. Can anyone tell me where the original distributor link wire would have ran? I’m assuming it goes to the fuse box at some point?

Happen to know if it’s the only pink wire? And is it pink or pink with black stripe?

Pink with a black stripe is a fused circuit that is hot in run or start. Always fused. Under hood pink/blk will most likely be on the GAUGES fuse. Cavity G2 in C100. Top row, 2nd from the far right. (next to G1 above). You probably shouldn't connect the coil to pink/blk. The coil can draw significant amperage at high RPM. GAUGES is only a 10A fuse, and there are lots of items on this circuit.

from what I’ve read the pink distributor wire is ideal for a 12v switched source that also has power while cranking for the red/white wire on a holley harness. (Ls swap)

im assuming it has a fusable link since it doesn’t go to the fuse box? (The pink distributor wire)

so I should use the pink wire and not the pink/blk?

The LS ignition coils require a constant power source. These should come from G1.

just read this but I ended up using the pink wire since it was still in tact just ziptied behind the battery.
seems to be running good but I’m still having a weird issue.
I’m using a dual terminal battery and a holley terminator x.
On the side terminals I’ve got the holley + one of the red holley wires. When I touch the top positive terminal with the key out and the top ground disconnected the ecu kicks on. When I touch the top ground the ecu turns off. I’m stumped. Any ideas??

I also have the Terminator X. And I ran the power up wire to the Pink wire. As I moved the Battery to the back of the car its not easy to see if mine works the same as yours.
