Default firewall wire routing

hey yall,
92 vert.. LT1
I have some wiring to run from the paasenger side engine compartment into the passenger side interior. I dont see a readily availible gromet to facilite this. Im sure someone has done this, wheres the quickest access?

any insight would be appreciated.

I'm not sure how much the wiring/layout differs between 1990 and 1992, but I recently had to run a wire through the firewall on the driver's side. I ended up using the grommet for the airbag/SIR collision sensor since it's way oversized. There's one on the passenger's side as well. Take a look for the yellow cable going through the firewall. On mine the sensor is situated underneath the windshield washer bottle, so find it there and see if you can trace that and if it makes its way through at a convenient point.

As an aside, if you're clumsy like me and worried you might accidentally pierce the airbag cable, I'd recommend disconnecting the negative battery terminal and waiting 15 minutes or so before you start working so the DERM discharges its internal capacitors and can't accidentally fire the airbag.

OP see 9J-B-4 (View B) in the FSM if routing through or adjacent to the right side SIR sensor interests you. If you don't have the FSM mention that you don't and I'll post an image for you.
