Strange wiper operation
Reaching out to the great C4 community. 1996 LT-4, 6 speed, well equipped. Accidentally flipped on the wiper switch, wipers work and it spits out washer fluid until it goes dry but wipers will not stop until I turn the key off. I turn the key back on and then the wipers will properly park. I am wondering if this is within the wiper motor, the washer or at the switch/lever. The switch lever is a little loose on the column. I'm thinking it may be the washer motor on the wiper motor as the wipers would not stop as long as the washer is on. Wiper motor looks like the washer may only come with the wiper motor. Looking for a starting point or advice. Thanks.

This is one of those repairs that White Glove Do Right Folks raise an Eyebrow & frown but it works, the problem is that the Lube/Grease inside the cover has become Stiff/Sticky from cooking by the Head and the park switch sticks now. so get a can of PB Buster or the like and a can of WD-40 take the plugs out of the cover, slide the tube on the WD_40 can past the foam grommets in the cover and give a few second spray in those two spots in the wiper motor. put plugs back in and run the wiper it should work. once it is functioning give another quick spray with PB Blaster, I found after a While the WD-40 becomes sticky too so the Blaster keeps it Lubed.
