I know a lot of Forum members have been really good on waiting for me to complete this project and I want to say "Thanks" to all.
The "Cross-frame" is done and ready for production. I am taking orders as of now. I have to get the information set up in the Mall, but until that is done you can give me a call.
As a special introduction for Forum members, I will be covering the shipping charges in the lower 48 for the month of January. The selling price is $445.00 and it will ship Ups. http://store.yahoo.com/corvetteforum/crossframe.html
Do you have production/shipping dates yet... I'm going on vacation in a month so if you can get it to me before then I'll order one now...
Jim
Jim,
I've got 2 orders ahead of you, but delvery should only be about 10 days.
To answer you first question, I used my 96 to proto-type off of and everything is rock solid now. I was going to install one for the pictures and then take it back off to sale, but after a 20 mile drive, I left it on. :yesnod:
Looks good , Dave. Have a couple of Q's......How much does it weigh and will it interfere with long tube headers/exhaust? Thanks..... If it works as well as my Camber Brace it will be a great peice. :seeya
I have a factory cross brace in my garage I want to install but I am not sure how to mount it in the back.. I would love to buy your brace, but funds won't allow it.
I have the same questions about the long tubes, has anyone mounted the brace with this set up.. I sure hope it fits because that looks like a nice piece

The Cross-frame weight is approx. 33#
I'll let you know on the long tubes as soon as I get the headers installed on the race car. If they tuck in close to the floor board and you exhaust is higher than the floor, then there will be no problem. Reference the web site for where the frame crosses and try laying a straight edge on your car in the same area. If it clears, it will work.
How hard is it to install the threaded inserts? Also, where can I get them and about how much do they cost?
The inserts are provided with the frame. You have to drill a pilot hole, then drill the pilot hole out to 5/8". Install the threadsert per the supplied instructions. The installation instructions are fairly detailed.
Any issues on a ZR-1. With headers and with stock manifolds??? Lowered vehicle clearance?
I haven't tried one under the ZR-1 yet. As far as clerance, on my lowered 96, I have 3" under the center of the frame. I am refering to the middle of the X, because that is where you will drag. The front of the frame is lower, but is goes up with the wheel.
