Default C4 Automatic dual caliper brake assembly

I own a C4 automatic with dual caliper BRK-X2 assembly. The brakes work wonderfully, but the pedal goes too low before it starts breaking. The brake master cylinder is standard, I would like to find a brake master cylinder with a bigger bore size or a longer rod from the brake pedal to the brake booster. Any other solution will be gratly appreciated. The car have been stored for 12 years, due to a health problem now over, nearly since I installed the dual calipers assembly; there was an article in amagazine, probably Vette Magazine in that time but I cannot remember. By the way I do live in tha Canary Islands. Thanks in advance for your reply. R. Vega

Are they stock calipers? Or maybe I should ask if you know what they are from. You'll definitely need a master with a bigger bore, since you are now pushing twice as much fluid (I assume)

Yes they are stock calipers, but the rear ones are from a previous Corvette model to avoid the parking brake linkage, they use the same brake pads. I do understand that the stock master cylinder is a 1 1/8" and may need a 1 1/4" that fits the brake booster. Tried to find one but is dificult for me to find the master cylinders internal specifications and interchangeability. I do need some help. Thanks 64Scout for your reply I think you are right.

Sounds like the old AO Engineering kit.

Get a brake master for a 98-02 F-body. That will be enough fluid displacement to bring the pedal up. You will need to run a small spacer between the master and the booster.

Thaks ChumoVette fdor your reply. The kit is a BRK-X2 Dual Caliper Brake Assembly, must be similar. I do understand that the stock C4 master cylinder bore is one inch or 15/16". Trying to find a 98-02 F-Body master cylinder I have found a Dorman M630022 the bore is just a little bit less tha one inch. Found on ebay a Centric Parts 130.62072 brake master cylinder for a 98-02 Camaro Firebird with a 31.7mm bore= to 1.2480"=11/4", probably is something like this. Please let me know the brand and part referenceof a master cylinder that you know will fit without modifications and if it is possible tell me something about the spacer between the master and the booster too. Thanks a lot.
