Ignition key question
Hey yall,
I have a 92 vert with 1 ignition key. Id like another, so I determined (res test) I have #3 vats chip. I ordered a #3 from the "A" place and had it cut. I t works to turn the igninition to acc, but will not turn the cylinder to start. I guess I need a different blank #3 . are there certain keys just for vettes? Doing some looking, the key I purchased was 14.99. I see some that say corvette for around 56 on "flee bay"
Do I need to spring for the "corvette" one?

Does your key look like the one in this link with the resistor?

If the mechanical cuts of the key are correct and the blank is correct it should rotate in both directions.
