Default I made a new bracket for smog pump elimination.

After fitting my new intake the belt started to kick off the tensioner pulley. I had initially removed the factory tensioner. I then took the pulley off it and used a old style alternator bracket. I had made a post about it previously. It allowed the stock belt and tensioner pulley. It worked good for 4500 miles on the original intake. However launching the car with this intake would flip the belt to the top of the tensioner. So I made a new bracket and put the pulley back on the tensioner in the factory spot. So far so good. The bracket was made from 3/8 aluminum x 3" wide. I tripled it by the pulley for strength and a area to bolt in to. I had to make a spacer/ bushing for the pulley. It is made from 1" round stock I turned it down to 17mm for the pulley and 1/2 inside. I left it 1" at the spacer end. I used a 2.5" 1/2x20tpi shoulder bolt. I used a die to cut 3 more threads into the shoulder so it would bolt snug. I the threaded the die back on and cut 5 threads off the end and rounded the edges . This way I don't have excess threads exposed.
