Default 85 Coolant temperature sensors

Hello everyone, I am trying to make sure that the wires on my oil temperature sensor and water temperature sensors are not crossed. The service manual says that the wire to the OPS is green and white. And if I ground the wire the reading should be 330 degrees F. I think that the wire to the water temperature sensor in the drivers side head should be green. Is there way to test that wire? I can't find it in the service manual.
I'm asking because I think the wires are crossed and this could be why the car is feeding too much fuel.

Thank you
Joe

Water temp sensor, drivers head between cyl 1 & 3 in my 87, is HD fan water temp sensor. It does not talk to the ECM and is not part of the mixture system. That sensor is simply a switch to turn the HD fan on and off. The connector is round and looks like a cigarette lighter. Do you have the Z51 package? Is the second fan in front of the radiator pointed toward the engine ?

For an 87 Z52 much like z51, this is the ECM coolant temp sensor

The OP has an '85 and should have an FSM.

Between 1 & 3 on 1985 is coolant temp, fan switch is in the right cylinder head between 6 & 8, OP temp is above the oil filter base at rear.

*** On a 1985 the coolant temp switch/sender the wire I believe transitions from BLU to DK GRN

Hello and thank you both. What you are saying is what I thought I remembered. The schematic of the 87 is very helpful. I couldn't find that one. And I wanted to use it to check where the wires went .
A Big thank you to you both
