Where to find new Steering Column Knuckle (1990-1996)?
Does anyone know where to find new (re)production "Steering Column Knuckles" for 1990-1996 Corvettes:
Almost all of the Corvette speed shops online inventory just say "Out of stock" or "Temporarily Discontinued". This sounds a bit odd because this part is known to commonly wear out. So what is this strange hassle with the part availability and where can I find this part including decent price?

I also would like this information... if anyone knows. I can try to analyze and machine some sleeves where I discover wear once disassembled, but that sounds like a whole lot of extra work if a replacement is available.

I don't believe that '90 - '96 are the same. I believe it should be '90 - '93 and then '94 -'96. I don't believe you can mix the various pieces. The shoes in the tilt are different.

Hi "C4"ers !
The aftermarket parts situation doesn't make any sense what comes to C4 steering column knuckles. There is a steady market demand for the part and still it's really hard to find. After all it's just a casted aluminium brick, nothing fancy, extremely expensive or difficult to massproduce.
I queried new steering column knuckle both from Corvette Central and ZIP-Corvette, but neither of them had one to sell. It was just something that was "discontinued" and neither of these two didn't know whether they will have new steering column knuckles available in the future. Strange and somehow controversial situation indeed .
I found a new steering column knuckle for my 1992 vette from a local speed shop. The cost was about 500$. Yes I know, it was really pricy. But since I really didn't have any alternative market option, I had to buy it. The speed shop owner even apologized for his clear greedisnesh, but I undersood that he has a business to run and that he has bought several "steering column knuckles" in advance that in mind that maybe someday C4 owners might need just these parts. So in a sense he also had taken a business risk buying and storing them in advance without actually knowing for sure how many pieces he is going to sell in the future.
But as said in the beginning, the C4 steering column knuckle market supply side (reproduction) doesn't make any sense . The market demand is there, for sure.

The alternate rout is to buy over size pins, I believe there are two company's that sell them or used to.

There is a local company here in Monterey, CA ( I think moved here from somewhere else ), they are next to Laguna Seca, they focus on steering columns.
Is this what you are looking for:
https://www.steeringcolumnservices.c...opic-parts.php
They also have the oversize pin fix as well
https://www.steeringcolumnservices.c...pivot-pins.php
I bought a donor column to scavenge parts from before I know I had this option locally to just have them fix / rebuild it.
