Default primary cooling fan

Hello,
92 LT1 vinP
I want to start by saying I have the FSM and have searched, but Im just confused.I have to replace my primary fan motor, but am having an issue removing it. The FSM says remove the air duct and 4 10mm screws and pull out. The web search found pull out through the bottom( as to not have to remove the hose and air duct) Niether way has worked, Without prying it out away from the shroud, which I dont want to force anything, it dosen't seem as easy as stated.

Any experiance with this would be helpful

Thanks

It’s a hassle and something you envision to be unbolt/re-bolt and done but there is a lot of finagling and finding just the right way to pull this, twist that to get them out. I did the job a few months ago and even though only 1 motor had failed, not wanting to do this again, I replaced both. I ended up removing the shroud and radiator and unbolted the ac accumulator since you get a bit of wiggle room with it unbolted. This my 94, believe 92 the same but I think they also changed the angle of the rad somewhere in there that may make the job a little different.
