89 Corvette, I have to admit I am very embarrassed to even write this. But, I am so totally lost so please be kind.
My fans are not turning on. So I opened the relay and made a jumper that I would come on when the key was on. The car was running. I inserted the jumper and the car stalled. I just did a check for power at the Bat wire to the distributor. There is no power. I went to the starter Wires have power. I checked all the fusible link wires. Where does the pink wire originate. I traced it into a LARGE harness behind the engine. I was thinking, like a butcher/hack. To run a fused wire from the battery to the distributor. I would much rather do it the right way. The previous owner did enough creative wiring. I appreciate your assistance more than you can imagine.
Thank you all

IIRC, the fusible links are behind/below the battery. Is that where you checked?

I think you missed a fusible link. Probably behind the battery. I assume the power distribution is the same as my '87:

Actually all of the links have been moved to a fuse box. A couple of years ago my junction connector was so bad and we did not have a replacement. So I put in a fuse box. Frankly I like it. In any event all of the fuses are working. Thank you for the help.

This is an awesome diagram. Thank you so much. I am sure I will be able to use it. The previous owner had installed relays in my wiring harness. I have no idea what they did or what they were connected to. One of the wires he used is a number 10 purple wire. Do you have any idea what that wire operates. It starts, I believe in C 100. I tried to find it last night. Thank you

Purple wire is starter circuit M-5/AWG 10.This diagram is from an '89 FSM. You criticized a shop for your wiring 'nightmare' best I recall. That shop was correct!

WVZR-1,

THANK YOU so much. So I am guessing that this wire is only used when the car is being started and the clutch is depressed. It has no voltage unless the clutch is depressed, Correct?

Let me clarify something about my critic of the shop. His critic of the wiring was that the FI wires were going to cause a fire. I KNEW that was not a possibility. I spoke to a few people in the area. They all had very little nice things to say about him.
The fI wires were munched on by squirrels during the cars dormant period.. I fixed the wires. It could have been a cleaner job. It has been redone.
And really thank you so much for this diagram. Yesterday I was probing this wire and could not figure out why it didn't have any voltage even with the key in run.
