I found this above the oil pan on the passenger side, just in front of the starter, with the white part broken off and still connected to a single wire. It’s about 2” long. Google search on the number stamped on the side didn’t give any clear results.
When I took it off nothing came out at first. Until I scraped at the gunk inside and coolant started flowing.
Is this a coolant temperature sensor then?
Looking at new sensors online, they all seem to show a 2-wire connector instead of 1 wire. So that has me slightly confused. Does that matter?
What do I get to replace it?
