Appreciate all the pictures. Would love to be of assistance, but not exactly sure what the problem is in particular that you're asking for help with? Also FYI you can post multiple images in a single post.
What is the particular issue you are trying to address? The rich running? New ignition components won't change the AFR. They might help with getting a complete burn however. At the same time new ignition components is a relatively inexpensive way to freshen up an older car regardless. I do support new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. I used E3 plugs only because they were the nicest plugs available same day at my parts store.
I would only replace the coil if it is loose, but I also am in a more frugal mindset of of recently. If you find an inexpensive coil option it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a new one in there.
As far I remember those two rearmost vacuum ports... one is for the fuel pressure regulator and the other I believe is either for EGR or the evap system, both non essential and emissions related.
Back to the issue at hand... Running rich. Was this confirmed with O2 sensor code or just by smell and backfiring behavior?
Maybe you have an injector stuck open or a malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator. Have you checked the fuel pressure with a gauge?
