1991 Tuning Basic Questions, Software, Computer, Logging
Which bin file was chosen as a base and for the subsequent dyno tuning (the PCM of NC bin or the AXCN bin--and why)? Were the two bins ever compared to each other? Do you have any documentation of the differences (text exports, or whatever). Hopefully, you at least read and saved a copy of the PCM of NC bin for future reference.
It is possible that the PCM of NC bin is a Super$8D bin. Did the tuner understand this and know the difference? Forgive me, I'm not into SD.
Was the spark advance ever verified? Small cap distributor ICMs have different latency as compared to the large cap variety, so the actual timing that you get may differ from what has been programmed. The latency table can be tuned to compensate.
Do you have any log data of the dyno pulls or any street driving so that we can see the maximum map (kpa) at WOT and other internal signals?
