Default TPIS Mini Ram Fuel Rails -- limitations

Anyone have any idea about how much fuel flow the TPIS Mini Ram fuel rails can support? While providing even flow to the injectors?

Using Holley 48# injectors with 45psi fuel, over 500hp net, and some of the fuel rail openings and channels seem somewhat small, which can cause perhaps cause a pressure drop to some of the injectors.

Any other fuel rail options?

One combo I had used 46# injectors on E85 and had almost 400 rwhp but I did mod the rails a little. They are odd in that the fuel takes a Z shaped path through each rail. I drilled through one layer so the path to fill was shorter. I also added AN and other fittings instead of the o-ring stuff. I have seen aftermarket rails used but I don't remember all the details or HP limits. I attached a picture after welding and leak checking.

There are a plethora of fuel rails for SBC on Summit/Jegs....I'm sure it would be quite easy to make most any of this fit and work on a MiniRam.

thanks, thats helpful, that way I can have a remote regulator and run two lines to the fuel rails. Not sure if they wanted to cool the fuel as much as possible with the flow path, I’m more concerned about even pressure/flow with high demand situation. May drill a 1/4 hole at each injector to the channel above and deburr. I have a fuel injector flow bench and noticed that the location of injectors relative to supply would influence flow +/- 2% depending on the duty cycle selected, more flow the more delta, so it seems on the engine the RH bank would get more fuel with the forward injectors getting more fuel. I can wire up EGT’s and trim per cylinder accordingly, just don’t want to go through the expense and the hassle.

Haha, well at least they all sort of look the same from a distance.

Do you know any which has the 1.45" injector spacing for the Mini Ram? That's a little bit wider than the TPI and LT1. Or are you talking about machining your own rails from fuel rail extrusion stock? Do you know the spacing of the different Edelbrock Victor or Super Victor, Holley MPFI SBC, FiTech, or whatever, because I've had trouble finding that information. But please enlighten me, I'd love to have such an easy simple solution.

No I don't know measurements. I bought some generic red anodized ones for the Kart that I'm planning to put on a cross ram intake. That whole affair will have to be custom assembled, so I figured that I would figure that out when I get there.

For the MR, I was thinking that you could make your own brackets to put the rail where ever you want it, bolt those brackets down the the MR rail mounting points. IDK...I'd have to look at rails and stew on it for a bit to make what I wanted out of something like that, so probably "porting" the MR rails and doing a dual feed, is the fastest way to get what you want.

I thought about that dual feed style but didn't get to it. It's really a nice setup! Good ideas and yes the top layer being for cooling is an interesting thought. You could try drilling one side like I did and the other each injector then test. It would be interesting! This is all going back quite awhile I used something sized like 3/8" to drill through the layers at the o-ring fill locations. I would have to reexamine some of the rails to remember better I think. Isn't it interesting though that there is a layered flow path in the rails? By looking at them you would never know and it wasn't much talked about.
