I sure could use some help. I have an 86 hat I had to replace the right side door on. I thought that all doors were the same and bought one that I knew was a later model. I knew that the regulator were different but thought that would be okay. The problem that I have is that there is not a door power windows wiring harness in the door. The question that I have is if I get the later model wiring harness will it plug right into the wires coming out of the A pillar going into the front of the door? If not what other options do I have?
You could take a look at Ecklers and see if the restoration parts for those cars have the same part numbers. Just a thought........
Oh by the way, I am from Elgin.....nice to see someone else is going crazy in the cold...

I checked with a Chevrolet parts book and they are different part numbers but that could be due to the fact they are different regulators with different motor locations. I am wondering if the ends of the harness that plug into the harness coming into the door will match up. Thanks though.
The only thing good about the winter up here is the chance to do the needed repairs.
