Default Cheap Mods that really work

Hey guys what are some cheap mods that really work on say a 1989 Vette??
Ive heard from Gordon Kilbrew that the air foil is useless crap and that an after market chip is useless and it burns out the converters so what are some good effective cheap mods??? Is the open air filter lid ok??? Any ideas????

There is such a thing as the Search button. Try using it once in a while...

why be rude. just because someone doesnt reply to their threads ( although i do ) doesnt mean they dont have questions. Hell, you could use the search here for almost any topic. Why not just shut the forum down then. The same things are discussed over and over all the time here whats the big deal. Geeze, people need to lighten up, must be winter:(

Anyway for cheap mods the only one that i found did anything was the open air lid, i also puit a K&N in but i imagine the open air lid was the thing that really made a difference. It wasn't an acceleration difference but i did get better throttle response and it's not in my head. It was definite.

Anyway maybe this guy is pulling our chain but even if he is big deal someone else might read this that did not start the topic and get something out of it. Lets try not to be jerks.

It's 70 degrees here today, so winter is definitely not my problem.

I'm just curious if you have even read some of this guy's threads? Half of them have to do with finding single women that live in Indiana. I just think he could help himself out by using the Search function, that's all. That's what it's there for.

Not only that, but he doesn't even own a '89 vette. I don't think he owns a vette period...

I know I've asked a couple questions here that had already been talked about. The way I see it is that things are constantly changing and people are always learning new things about the stuff that people have already been doing.

Steady people. If we all thought the same it would be a dull world. Life is way to short, so enjoy the ride. :steering:

I asked a ton of questions before I had a vette and I still ask and try to find out things about other years that I don’t have all the time here. By asking he will be that much more informed for when he is ready to buy one, No flame here but you’d be crazy for buying a car and doing the research after.

As for the original post it can never hurt to and is cheap to reduce weight whether drastic or not

On a milder note: I looked at a thread that was refered to above. It mentioned cuting back the plugs or words to that effect. Could someone explain that for me. Much appreciated

Try throttle by pass if you have 2 clamps and a small piece of pipe it is free.
