Default Head help

I bought a 1985 corvette that supposedly had a blown head gasket. In reality it had a broken valve that went through the head. They are cast iron heads. I was offered a set of aluminum heads casting number 1410181 and under that the numbers 8261. The only thing I could find on them was they were offered in 1987-1989 305’s. I can’t find valve sizes, chamber size or pretty much anything else. So can anybody give me more info. Bottom line is can I use these for my car? Here are some pics for funzies.

Scarred that piston up a bit.

I realize these are not original. No idea what cam is in there.

My Memory on the casting number is foggy, I think those are Corvette heads the ones for Late 1986 to 1987 Vettes? They made 5 more horses than the cast iron heads. I don't recall the 305's coming with aluminum heads but I'm unsure. I had my stock 86 aluminum head fully ported, including 2.20 in intake valves and 5 angle valve jobs they easily support 400hp. I hope someone else chimes in on the correct numbers. I have but H.O. 305 cast iron heads on 350's with work done to increase compression ratios. Also use to swap cams to wake up 305 TBI and TPI cars, they all ran very well.

These do not have valve cover bolts on the outer side and only have the 4 center bolts and they look aluminum. I was told they are 305 heads and have small chambers and small valves and won’t flow good.

305 heads have small chambers (58cc's) that will raise your compression by quite a lot, but they also have small valves (1.94, 1.50) that won't flow well. I can't say whether 305s ever had aluminum heads or not.
Are you sure the casting number isn't 14101081? That number shows up, and says it is a 305 head

[edit] on further research, from what I see your current heads have the same valve sizes, but larger chambers. What are the casting numbers on your orginal heads?

Looks like the piston hit the valve. You may have bigger problems. I guess thats kinda like stating the obvious. You best clean up the piston and see how bad it is.
