Default 1987 Hazzard pull switch

I broke the hazzard pull switch located on the column of my 87. I now have no flashers and intermitant turn signals, How hard is it to replace? and where can I get one? Thanks for any input.

I think you’re gonna need to get into the steering column all the way down to under the turn signal switch. It’s doable but you’re gonna need some patience.

Here are some diagrams that I lifted from Zip Corvette when I had to dig into mine. They should have your part too, though I imagine it’s a common enough GM part that most parts stores would carry what you need too depending on what broke.

This is a single part #'d package for the 'Hazard'. If you have intermittent directionals also then you might actually need the actual directional switch.

All three pieces of this package were serviced separately also. The M3.5X1.27X22 screw is a separate part.

**** If you only need the 'HAZARD' you might try a local dealer for a GM# 12337964. Many dealers might actually still have some inventory. A Jeep dealer also?

If you still have the ability to tread in the screw and spring assembly you might be ok without replacement of whole assembly.
You're lucky you have a 87 without an airbag then things get tough. But if you need to replace the switch plate it's not that big a deal to replace the switch assembly.

Things you will need
A steering wheel puller, a GM lock plate tool, 1 bolt or Allen wrench same thread as telescopic lock bolt. If you use the bolt for the Telescopic you will need to cut to length to about 1/2" above locked position.
the Directional plate can be bought at any parts store.
Go to you tube for the Blow by Blow on how to do it to write it out would be very long but a video can show and pause

I replaced mine recently with the kit WVZR-1 has shown. Just screwed right in from the outside.
