92 With Charging Problem
I have a ’92 base. The battery light came on and gauge shows 11.5 volts. I installed a new battery since mine was threes years old. Same issue. I then installed a new alternator…..same issue. What should I check next? Thanks

What you need to do is get yourself a cheap voltmeter and check the voltage at the big red wire on your alternator. When the engine is running it should read approx 14.5 volts. Don't assume the new alternator you bought is any good especially if your bought it an Advance or Autozone store. Now that I'm retired from the auto repair business, I work part time at an Autozone and honestly, we sell junk. If you want, remove the alternator and have your local parts store test it. Hope this helps.
