I am converting my front 1990 brakes with c6 Z06 OEM parts. What wheel size and offset will fit? I am trying to do this on the cheap, it is for Lemons race car.
Anyone who has done this before, will I be ok w/ stock rear brakes?

You will need a pair of C5/C6 caliper adapters to bolt the calipers to the spindle. Mount the adapters to the spindles, mount the rotors to the bearing hubs, bolt the calipers to the adapters and then tighten the rotors to the bearing hubs. In the ends of the calipers are a trough that the rotors ride in, the rotors should ride in the center of this trough for the rotors to turn with no restrictions. If the rotors are turning on the pads, you will either have to place a shim between the spindle and the adapter bracket, or, machine clearance on the bracket. each side could have a different spacing than the other so each side needs to be 'measured' to fit in the center of the caliper trough.

You possibly might be OK in this department. When I did my conversion I also did the rears, and it's a whole lot of $$ to do correctly.
The Hot Rod Shop has made a CNC Billet kit in the past to fit the Rears. It may or may not be available today and its not cheap. I had to do a little none CNC machining of my own on the kit. I had to go from 17 to 18 wheels to fit over the 6 Piston Calipers in the front.
i remember a story on here around 2007? (Whenever the c6 z06 first came out) about some kind of experiences racer giving hot laps , in a c6 z06, for $10 a lap - that went to charity
welp, eventually the brakes (i assume c6 z06) overheated and faded / a crash happened
are they better than c4 parts? Sure. But not invincible
I will highly urge you to do something else for brakes. The padlets are a terrible design. You are losing surface area and they are thinner than most pad designs.
A regular C5/6 upgrade bracket will not work with the C6 Z06 caliper. The brake hose line location is pushed into the adaptor from my memory.
Is it really worthwhile to do the conversion? I have been happy with the z-51 brakes that i have on my GS. Has anyone done a formal side by side test? My brakes feel similar if not better to my 2006's brakes
