Default Hood left open

This is my first C4 so am not sure its likes and dislikes. Can I leave the hood open for long periods? It is on a battery tender unless driven. The previous owner took the under hood bulbs out for show purposes, and never back in.
Thank all

As long as the under hood lights are unplugged or removed you can leave the hood up inside a garage it doesn't matter

Most owners just unplug the under hood lights rather than removing the bulbs. Follow the wiring down to just over the side marker lights to check if the PO just unplugged them.

Sure, you can leave the hood open as long as you want. Wont harm anything as long as the under hood lights are disabled

Get high output LED bulbs and you will be amazed how bright they are with less amp draw. If I remember I will take a picture after it gets dark in the garage. Dan

At least one of the usual Corvette parts houses markets a kit that plugs into the factory wiring so one provided switch shuts off both lights. The price is just north of $100. Those of us that are very thrifty, just unplug them.

I've left my hood open for months at a time. I went down to oreilly and got some cheap toggle switches for the underhood lights.

Where can I find those LED bulbs, a special Vette store or Autozone and the like? I like the idea as they also "should" draw less volts.

I went to Oreilly with my old bulbs and found some LED's that were the same size and they went right in.
