Needing guidance. I just had my ignition switch replaced due to failure. When I picked car up I have lost all analog gauges, DIC and driver’s window operation. Passenger window works, factory security system works. Do these symptoms appear related to switch replacement or unrelated issues that happened to fail simultaneously?
By switch I'm assuming you mean the electrical aspect that is column mounted and NOT the key/cylinder > is that correct? What does the shop have to say?

Yes, you are correct, he states he didn’t touch anything by instrument cluster and it’s likely that cluster is bad. I hadn’t noticed window inoperative at that time was following time I drove car I attempted lowering windows. He has done work on this and a few other vehicles with good results.
Does the DIC light up appropriately with KEY ON - ENGINE OFF (BULB CHECK)? You say you lost ALL analog gauges. That seems odd. Lot's to check but it seems quite odd. Do you have the FSM (Factory/Field Service Manual) so that you could attempt some DIY checks? Has the shop committed to diagnostics for you?
I do not nor has he committed to anything stating he didn’t touch anything related to gauges. I read on a c5 thread someone posted on disconnecting battery and connecting positive and negative terminals of wiring harness to discharge capacitors but that thread wasn’t exactly my symptoms. I am trying to gauge where to begin with diagnosis. Part of me says buy reconditioned gauges and install. You tube video was clear enough fo me to understand that process. I don’t want to replace gauges if something else is cause.

I test for power there if I pill door apart for window switch or motor if needed. DIC out with gauges tells me something central is causing symptoms. Am I wrong in that thought process?
Your thoughts thus far are mostly flawed. The C5 read ain't appropriate. I asked one question that you apparently haven't done > BULB CHECK (KEY ON/ENGINE OFF) What lights in the DIC? You said you lost ALL Analog gauges. That seems very odd. You lost Volt meter operation also? A purchase of anything at this point would be foolish! Very foolish!
Do you understand BULB CHECK? How long have you owned the car?
Bulb check response sent as you responded. Only security light flashed. Yes All analog gauges inoperative. Voltage, temps operating on digital display. Also forgot to mention gauge illumination out.
'Security' is in the IP - DIC is the rectangular display right of the IP, there would be depending upon options as many as 15 lamps that should light. BULB CHECK should consist of multiple small lamps. Lost all analog gauges still seems odd & I'd doubt.

I still have no analog gauges functioning and driver’s window inoperable with only 1 DIC light functioning. I am looking for guidance before spending money buying a new gauge cluster or tearing door apart to troubleshoot power to/from switch like originally told by mechanic.
