I have a 1990 base model. Has been running great..recently replaced the battery. So today I went to Autozone again to check the battery because the voltage was fluctuating. Battery was good 👍🏾.
Autozone guy used the scanner to check battery, alternator and starter…All came back great. I went to crank up car ….instantly died, check engine light, shaking, back firing ……..NONE of this has been happening. Just started after the test. It’s my first vette and just purchased…….any thoughts? Suggestions?
I disconnected the battery and same thing. Can’t run codes cause I have a newer reader. Will try the paper clip method tom

was it a battery load test that was preformed ?
I was going to run the codes last night but didn’t have a paper clip.
the scanner he used is the one from Autozone to test the battery. The battery was good, so he tested the alternator and starter with the same scanner. They also came back good……(during the test he had me rev the engine to 4-5RPM) I shut the car off and he disconnected the scanner. When I cut it back on - it cranked and instantly stalled out. I did it again same thing. The third time I gave it gas and it stayed on…I had to keep applying gas to make it home.
