Brakes to the floor
Out for a short errand this afternoon in my 85 and the first stop was an adventure. Brakes went to floor with no warning and just slight braking even after pumping. Really lucky I wasn't flying at the time.
I assume this is a master cylinder problem?
I know you're a little Hyper right now but more information please, first is there enough fluid in the master, is there any No visible leaks. If so yes I would look towards the master but the whole system needs a look though

brakes work when seals in master cylinder push fluid against caliper pistons to move pads. Pedal should hit solid when brake pads do. If it moves to floor with little to no braking action one of two things happened. First there is a hole (leak) somewhere. The fluid squirted out rather than moving the pistons. Second is the seals in the master cylinder are worn. Instead of pushing the fluid out, it just flowed over the seal and did not move towards the pistons. If your fluid is not low (no leaks) then most likely the seals are bad. Time for a Master Cylinder rebuild or replacement.
Air in the lines can cause the soft pedal / no brake but air usually only gets in when a hold lets fluid out.

Reason: added note about air
