FYI I had been dealing with a code 32 issue for many months. I changed out the egr valve, the temp sensor/switch and the solenoid. The code 32 remained when cruising. I researched all I could find, posted here on the forum and came up with no solution. So, I went back through everything and thoroughly tested out all of the parts. The old egr valve would not hold a vacuum so I knew that was an issue. The new egr valve did hold vacuum properly. So now I know the new egr valve was needed. I tested the old temp sensor and found it to be good. Now, I remove the new temp sensor, tested it and find it not to work properly. I put the old temp sensor back on and took a 1-hour or so drive and get no code 32. Problem solved. The new temp sensor was no good. I fixed the problem when I replaced the egr valve and created a new problem by installing a new non-operative temp sensor. The car is a 1985 year model. Never thought I would get a non-operative part (temp sensor).
You can use the one for 86 up just have to lengthen the wire. I already have the extention wire which is a plug and play. I just have to pick up the sensor now. Hate that code 32...
