:iagree: with the above, also fine brass brush on a drill piece works wonderful for the hard grime & to polish some of the junk out the cleaner doesn't get. spray the inside of your intake while your at it, if you spray enough in there you'll create a really lovely smell when you fire the car up next :)
get the stuff made specifically for the throttle body (3M makes it) from NAPA. It won't attack the protective coating on the body as will carb cleaner. Just use an old toothbrush. If it is not too bad you can clean it on the vehicle by proping open the valve (engine off) and placing 2 inch wide strips of cheese cloth through the opening, spray the cleaner on both sides of the valve, wipe it down with the cloth and you should be good to go.
While you`re at it you might as well clean the MAF. Use throttle body cleaner on this also. I cleaned both on mine as well as the wifes Imp. SS and you can really tell the difference. :cheers:
