We are dropping the front spring to lower the car in preparation for our race. We have disconnected the spring from the lower a arms, and unbolted the spring supports. The driver side support fell right down and came off.
The passenger side rear bolt is completely holding the rear of it in place. It appears to be welded in place from the top or corroded in place. We have been trying to pry the bracket off and we are bending the entire support but with no luck having the spring release down. What are we missing? Or how do we proceed?
IWe were able to get it out with removing the compressor mount reaching down with a large breaker bar and forcing the issue. This is a salt water car. This corner was obviously submerged.
