Hope you put a nice cam some roller rocker arms 1.6:1 and a good header to make those heads breath. Have fun porting and polishing your intake. Next spring let us know your results. The TPIS SuperL98 Cam is mild but should give you a nice boost over stock. Good Luck...
Years ago before I LS swapped my 84 I built a 383 with Edelbrock heads an Xram intake and a comp cams marine roller cam. I sent the throttle bodies out to be bored out bigger. I had to buy bigger throttle blades to do it and sent those with the bodies to get bored. Then I used the "cop car" injectors and tuned it with a 7747 ECU. A forum member named Dominic helped me tune it.
Not sure how much the bigger throttle bodies helped. But it wasn't that expensive to have done. Eventually I wanted more power than I was ever going to get with that setup so I LS swapped with a 4L80e. But the 383 ran ok. It was way too expensive overall though. A junkyard 5.3l with a cam would make more power.
