My 94 did the same thing near the starter after 300 miles. I gotta go back and redo it. It's not much but it annoys me.

How bad is the leak? My 88 and my 85 both have small oil leaks. Can't seem to find them (nothing obvious like pressure gage or valve cover). They are small (a few drips after sitting like a week). I'm willing to let it go until I'm into the engine for something else.
I don't know the LT-1 engines at all, but you need to put a value on your time and if a small leak is worth it.

Thanks for the replay, yep leaking on the driver's side can smell it and see some smoke so another new gasket. I use the dye kit it seems to work if can't find a leek. My time and valve (right) have been charging myself $135.00 hr. deiced to give myself a rase now $150.00 hr.

You only need the UV light as all motor oil has dye in it. You can add some to the oil if you need to, and it will really stand out where the leak is. Clean everything up best you can 1st.
