Default 1992 Temp question

This is probably a already asked question I just got a 1992 c4 Base. This was the longest drive with the new ride. So it was 75 outside temp was fine until stopped at the light temp went up then back down after taking off again so I sat my drive at idle looks like it got to roughly 230 or 240 then fan kicked on what is normal for fan to kick on.

Is the fan coming on at 230 or is it 240? If all is working as it should you will see fan come on in 227/230 range. When you were sitting in driveway did temp start dropping once fan came on? Sounds like cooling system is working as it should.

The temps you are referring to seem perfectly normal as long as the fan cools it down when it comes on. My 86 has 2 cooling fans that kick on at 224 & 228 degrees. When they come on it lowers the cooling temperature to under 200

Default Ok Update

Finally drove my C4 to work today got home an let her idle in the drive. Fans kicked on at 228 went off about 216 ish running great just wanted to see if this is normal for others but at highway speed (80) she run 180 naturally only when at lights in my town she starts climbing not rapidly though oh an it was 60 degrees here today if that makes a difference.
