Default Hard steering

When I first crank my 85 you have to really pull on the wheel then after that it acts fine it's only after it has sat like over night

Steering rack is on it's way out, they normally get much worse with cooler temperatures.
To buy some extra time a Drain/suck out and Fill of pump might improve it until you can psychic yourself enough to get and install it.

Morning Sickness is what this is called, common to C4s. Stiff until you get going.

You can drain or suck out and replace the PS fluid with new and alleviate it, but someday you will need a new rack.

Mine was doing this over 15 years ago. Pumped fluid out of reservoir and filled with Lucas. No problems since.

What model lucas did you use and why better than GM. Is power steering fluid a schuled service item?

Stated as a service item unsure probably, but if it isn't it should be one of those every 50,000 miles things it can get pretty nasty.
