high performance break option???

high performance brake option???
If I read my rpo codes and they tell me I have the "high performance" brake upgrade or whatever it says exactly... what does this include?? I'm sure things have been replaced over time, but I'm curious to what the difference is over base model brakes.... :steering:

If it's the J55 RPO you're referring to, then you have upgraded front rotors/calipers. The rotors are 13" dia. vs. 12" and are also a little thicker. The calipers are wider to accommodate the rotors. The front brake pads are the same.

13" = Crappier brakes
Every brake system GM has put on a car has been crap. Even the C5 stuff.
