Default Spring Condition

I have a couple of used springs I would like to sell. I washed them today and found some "grain". I am wondering if this is normal or if these springs are unusable. The springs are an FHU and an NYU.

The delamination I've seen before looks like big chunks of fiberglass strips coming out of the body. This looks like very, very early, minor separation of the surface coating, with the cracks longitudinally with the grains.. I'd be tempted to seal it with a good coat of paint, before water gets in. I'm thinking it should be OK for now, but I'd be looking to replace that in the future. Sell them at a discount with full disclosure, and tell the buyer to keep an eye on it.

To me, that looks totally normal. I don’t see any cracks. I only see imperfections and inconsistent coating. Exactly what it looked like from the factory. Some are smoother than others, that I’ve worked with. But I’ve only handled 5 or 6 sets over the years in my cars.
