84 Digital dash board

My digital speedometer and odometer does not function properly..the range does not work...my Tachometer and gas gage works ...
Whats the fix?

You can also just get a $20 gps speedometer until you find your problem. I have that on my 84 plus I have an hour meter under the hood to keep track of engine use.

I dont know about GPS Speedo...how do I acquire?........I'm 83 and not very techinical.

I use a GPS speedo app on my phone.

It could be as simple as a broken VSS ( Vehicle Speed Sensor ) on the transmission.
A simple test would ne to connect another VSS to the cable an run it with a cordless drill. If speedo works then it is the VSS sensor or the plastic gears that drive it from the output shaft of the transmission.
